“She is mad, but she is magic. There is no lie in her fire.”
There is something cathartic to me about a blank page. No matter what you’re feeling, it takes all of it: your happiness, your sadness, your anger, your frustration, everything. Maybe it’s because blank pages have been the only thing that have been there for me consistently.
I hope to be able to find my unique, authentic voice while writing about my experiences. I want writing to be a part of my career. I want to be able to help people through struggles, just like others have helped me.
Most of all, I want to be able to challenge myself. I have a habit of starting things, and then stopping. Starting, stopping, starting and stopping. This is a collection of the progression of my writing, as well as a way to hold myself accountable to the challenges I set for myself.
I want to be authentic about culture, our society, travel, mental illness, and anything else that I feel is important to me. I want to be able to help others through the telling of my story, to reassure them that they are not alone.
